Valuation Bias and Fair Housing (VBFH) Laws & Regulations
**NEW REQUIREMENT**
Effective June 1, 2025, every current trainee, licensee, and certificate holder is required to complete a course which meets the content requirements of the Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Laws and Regulations, as set forth in the Real Property Appraiser Qualifications Criteria. The course must be at least seven hours and shall be completed by May 31, 2027.
Please note - Any licensee planning to upgrade on or after January 1, 2026, will be required to complete the eight hour (seven hour, plus 1 hour exam) in addition to the required qualifying education courses to upgrade.

Any courses related to Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Laws and Regulations taken prior to June 1, 2025, DO NOT meet this requirement.
